Abstract :
Housing, as the largest and most important part of construction, includes a major share of neighborhood and city buildings, and can even be considered as one of the criteria for measuring the social welfare of a community. Therefore, the quality of housing plays a decisive role in the level of satisfaction, social welfare, culture and, consequently, the quality of life of citizens. Accordingly, identifying the quality levels of urban housing is an effective step in promoting social welfare and health of citizens. However, in recent decades, with the rapid growth of urban population, followed by the prevalence of mass housing and increase in construction as one of the ways to provide housing, without considering the basic needs of individuals, social welfare indicators and spatial standards (standards Physical-psychological), the human living space was disturbed and many buildings were built without the slightest attention to the culture and spirit of the people of this land; The result, in addition to the emergence of low-quality and inefficient housing and increasing population to large cities, has led to changes in human lifestyles. Therefore, the present study, with a descriptive-analytical approach and relying on documentary studies, seeks to identify housing quality standards and analyze and classify spatial quality indicators by recognizing some potentials and paradigms of traditional Iranian architecture to achieve a successful and viable model. And it is concluded that despite the problem of population in cities and mass construction strategy, it is possible to create multi-purpose environments and houses with high quality and resilient space.
