Abstract :
A stroke is a medical condition in which poor blood flow to the brain causes cell
death. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic, due to lack of blood flow, and
hemorrhagic, due to bleeding. Both cause parts of the brain to stop functioning
properly. A wide range of treatment techniques and approaches from different
philosophical backgrounds are utilized in neurological rehabilitation. Research to
support the different approaches varies hugely, with a wealth of research to support
the use of some techniques while other approaches have limited evidence to support
its use but rely on anecdotal evidence. This paper provides a brief overview of some
of the approaches used in stroke rehabilitation witch evidence based clinical
guidance recommendations
