Simulation of Three-Roller Pipe Bending Process Using ABAQUS Finite Element Method

Abstract :
Pipe bending process with three rollers is a type of pressure forming process that is used to bend full and hollow pipes. Flexibility and low cost enable this process to produce the desired pipes from pipes made of solid ingots, cast or forged parts. In this paper, the pipe bending process simulation is performed using ABAQUS / EXPLICIT finite element codes and the internal energy, kinetic energy, stresses on the pipe, strains and the amount of roller displacement and the force on the roller will be calculated.
