Abstract :
Hydraulic cylinders convert the fluid flow under pressure into linear motion of the piston rod and are available in single and double types. In the one-job type, the return to the original position is done by a spring or gravity force, but in the two-job type, the return operation is performed under the control of hydraulic fluid. In this dissertation, a cylinder with a circular cross section under the angle of attack relative to the flow is studied numerically. The two-dimensional flow model is incompressible and, assuming the flow is viscous, the Navira-Stokes equations are used for field analysis. The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate the qualitative and quantitative effect of pressure analysis on a cylinder at a specific angle of attack
