Abstract :
Considering the importance of energy supply in developing countries and the increasing demand for the use of renewable energy, a study was conducted on the conversion of abandoned oil and gas wells into geothermal extraction wells. And it was found that the abandoned oil and gas wells have a high potential for geothermal energy extraction and are placed in the category of medium temperature and low temperature resources, and for better productivity and increase efficiency, it is better to use the closed loop two pipe method and cycle Binary used to generate electricity. And examples of methods and studies conducted in this field were reported. Also, the importance of retrofitting and how it was explained.
