Abstract :
Successful implementation of strategies for managing a classroom environment has demonstrated correlations with student success, enhanced productivity, heightened precision in academic tasks, reductions in off-task and disruptive conduct, increased levels of engagement and attentiveness, as well as fostering more favorable peer relationships and prosocial behavior among students (Simonsen, Fairbanks, Briesch, Myers, & Sugai, 2008). In accordance with the thematic analysis conducted by Yazdanmehr & Akbari (2015), which focused on themes such as: expert teachers capacity for identification, utilization of external control (encompassing sub-themes like elucidation of expectations, application of body language, and establishment of rules and routines), as well as the deployment of preventive management strategies and the monitoring of student behavior, our study aims to scrutinize these themes. The objective is to discern the most efficacious approach among them. For this purpose, we enlisted the participation of six supervisors overseeing private English language institutes, each affiliated with a distinct institution. These supervisors were tasked with incorporating and observing the outcomes of individually manipulating all four identified classroom management themes within the teaching styles employed by instructors in their respective syllabi. It is crucial to note that each of the four themes was systematically manipulated across all six institutions. Consequently, a total of six institutions and 24 English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom, with an average student population of 10 individuals per classroom, were actively involved in this research, totaling 240 EFL students. The results reported by the supervisor mainly supported the second theme (preventive management strategies) due to its positive psychological effects. they mentioned that using this technique impeded many awkward silences and magic moments in class rather than the teacher trying to fix the situation after the problem was imposed to the class by disobedient students.
