Abstract :
In the history of Iranian architecture, the architecture of the Seljuk era is of special importance, this importance can be found in the characteristic decorations of this period, especially the types of inscriptions left from this period, he buildings of the Seljuk period are often made of bricks and plaster is used in some parts of the building, such as the altar, the dome and the porches, due to its greater flexibility compared to brick, one of the prominent buildings of this period in this regard is the Jame Zavareh Mosque. The purpose of this article is to take a look at the historical monuments of Zavareh city and reflect on the architecture of Zavareh Jame Mosque in terms of historical and aesthetic approach (inscriptions and slimis). We will answer the leading questions: 1- Is Jame Zavareh Mosque the first Iranian mosque with four porches?2 - Does this mosque have any difference in terms of architecture and originality compared to its contemporary buildings? This research has been compiled using a descriptive-analytical method and a library and archival research method, using a check from related sources and through references and field studies. The type of survey and measurement using meters and mapping tools to record the general characteristics of the building in the plan, Sections and symbols, use of photographic camera and aerial images and periodic city maps. It is a qualitative analysis. Based on the text, it can be concluded that the architecture of Jame Zavareh Mosque is the best proof of this fact. Although Islamic motifs and decorations contain a world of transcendental concepts and meanings But the art of architecture, when it achieves a suitable and worthy strength and carries out its construction methods with precision and skill, does not need its extreme application.
