Abstract :
Designing and creating openings in reinforced concrete slabs will have a great impact on their characteristics. The presence of openings in concrete slabs will reduce the capacity, strength and ductility of the structure. According to the previous researches, limited researches have been done in the field of reinforcement of reinforced concrete slabs with openings under impact loading. In this research, the behavior of reinforced concrete slabs with openings under impact load is investigated and different thicknesses of CFRP reinforcement sheets in slabs without openings are evaluated. In this article, 14 slabs with and without opening were subjected to impact loading. For impact loading, a rigid object weighing 84 kg was dropped from a height of 1.5 m. By calculating the velocity of the object at the moment of impact, the initial velocity of 5.5 m/s without height was applied to the rigid object in the modeling. After validation, the investigated models were simulated in Abaqus software. The results showed that the arrangement of reinforcing sheets in the slab has a direct relationship with the bearing capacity of the slab. Also, the use of crosswise reinforced sheets with greater thickness makes the stress applied to the slabs to be evenly distributed And it prevents the concentration of tension. The presence of an opening in the slab causes an increase of about 1.5 times the displacement of the center of the slab. The presence of an opening in the slab reduces the impact load capacity of the slab by about 1.3 times. In reinforced opening slabs, this difference is less than in the case without CFRP sheets.
