Abstract :
Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) has emerged as an innovative approach to improve building energy performance and reduce building carbon emissions. However, the uptake of the ZCB approach is slow, far from mainstream building practice. Previous studies have been devoted to technical feasibility analysis and ZCB design issues. Some of them have examined the barriers to adopting ZCB methods in the market, social, regulatory or financial aspects. However, few have explored the role of business models in delivering buildings towards zero carbon. The purpose of this article is therefore to investigate the effect of the business model in ZCB and to investigate innovative business models that can stimulate the absorption of ZCB. This paper first examines the concepts of ZCB and identifies challenges for ZCB based on the PESTEL analytical framework. This paper then examines the conceptual framework of business models for ZCB. Nine key elements of the business model were identified, including offering, target customer, distribution channel, customer interface, source and core competency, partner network, cost and revenue model. Evidence to substantiate the arguments is gathered through a case study with a recent ZCB project selected from diverse contexts. The results of the case study have presented an innovative business model that addresses the challenges for ZCB delivery. Research findings help to demonstrate the business potential of ZCB to practitioners and guide how innovative business models can accelerate the uptake of the ZCB approach. reason for the use of automatic or semi-automatic ventilators is to relieve the congestion of the patient s breathing, and in this research, focusing on this vital issue, the design, process analysis, and manufacturing of ventilators along with breathing masks have been discussed. In addition to the purpose of treating the patient s respiratory problems, the designed device can also be used by the general public due to its ability to supply oxygen, small volume and mass, reasonable price, use of quality materials and beautiful design. Nevertheless, it can be stated that the main goal of this research is to design and optimize a respiratory aid device for patients with corona virus. From the respiratory aid devices, we can refer to oxygen therapy devices, ventilators, and CPAP devices.
