Abstract :
Abstract The main attention of engineers in the field of retrofitting is focused on the retrofitting of concrete and steel buildings. If a structure is damaged under special conditions (earthquake or excavation or...) or if we intend to change the use of the building (residential to educational), change or increase the number of floors of the structure, the existing structure will no longer have the safety and favorable conditions to bear the incoming loads. We have and need to retrofit or repair and strengthen the structure. In this article, the investigation and strengthening of concrete sections using FRP sheets has been discussed.
