Abstract :
Abstract Reinforcement of concrete beams with FRP fibers is to achieve the desired performance by increasing load-bearing, bending and shear capacity, increasing wear resistance, increasing corrosion resistance, increasing ductility and increasing heat resistance. FRP materials can also be used to strengthen the concrete beam with FRP whose reinforcement is corroded due to being in adverse conditions. In this way, the concrete beam is protected by using FRP while increasing the bending and shear resistance against corrosive environmental conditions. The use of FRP sheets is the most suitable method of shear reinforcement of beams. Also, the flexural reinforcement of beams can be easily and effectively done by FRP composite fibers. In this research, FRP materials and concrete beams reinforced with these materials are investigated. Also, finite element modeling test of shear reinforced concrete beams using FRP fibers is presented. Key words: composite materials, FRP, reinforced concrete beam.
