Abstract :
Nowadays utilization of electric vehicles along with the development of Distributed Generation (DG) units has resulted in several advantages. Some of the important aspects are reduction of air pollution, decrement of greenhouse gas emissions and etc. Considering the length of transmission lines, the costs for construction of DG units are extremely high. Therefore, the corresponding voltage drop and power losses in distribution network will be unavoidable. One solution for enhancement of technical and economical network parameters is the utilization of reactive power shunt compensator. In this paper, multipurpose capacitor placement has been performed at the presence of DG sources and electric car charging stations. The optimal allocation has been analyzed using Tabu Search (TS) method for 12 scenarios. The expense of capacitor placement for the optimization of some parameters will be the disruption of other features in the system. As a result, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) has been utilized as a decision making technique to obtain the most appropriate scenario for capacitor allocation.
