New Design of Rod Gates for Material Flow

Abstract :
Slid gates are used to open and close the inlet and outlet of hopper tanks or material transfer routes. They include very small to large gates. They are very stable and they can continue to their work with less failure, if this equipment is designed correctly. The rod gate unlike slide gate, which blocks or reduces the material flow in form of a blade, the rod gate system is in form of the rod. The volume of the output material can be controlled by pulling out each of the rods. In this research, we tried to design and optimize semi-cut rods using rotation mechanism instead of protrusion. This work leads to reducing the deformation of the rods due to the opening and closing of the gates and controlling the regular flow of the material, accurately.
