Abstract :
This comprehensive review synthesizes the current body of knowledge regarding Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and its critical role in ensuring food security in the context of climate change. The paper starts with a clarification of CSA concepts, followed by a discussion of the impacts of climate change on agriculture and food security. It examines existing literature in three main themes: CSA principles and technologies, global and regional perspectives of climate change effects on agriculture and food security, and the implementation of CSA as a solution. The study also assesses the opportunities and challenges of CSA implementation, offers examples of successful CSA application, and discusses the implications of the findings for policy-making and future research. The conclusion highlights CSA s immense potential as a strategy to achieve food security under changing climatic conditions, despite the identified challenges and gaps in research.
