Abstract :
Today, one of the major problems of cities in all countries is the lack of urban unit management and the lack of coordination between different departments and organizations that are involved in various affairs of citizens, and in these inconsistencies, citizens are the ones who suffer the most damage. Therefore, if the municipalities cannot obtain their daily information quickly and accurately, they will face problems in solving the problems of the cities and providing sources of income. The geographic information system acts as an arm for urban management and by using the new methods and models applied by this system, it is possible to implement the necessary planning and forecasting. Spatial information system in urban affairs and urban development, in sectors such as; Land use, population, urban services, land and housing management, architecture, worn and historical textures, urban facilities and equipment, construction, transportation and traffic, tourism, general urban information and education and statistics are a great help to urban managers, urban planners, urban designers and consultants of regional and urban development plans to analyze the current situation and short-term and long-term planning.
