Abstract :
In today s world, energy management and sustainable development is one of the most fundamental challenges facing humanity today. Due to the development of the world, the change in lifestyle, economic growth and the process of industrialization has led to the increasing use of fossil energy and has led to the increasing emission of greenhouse gases and surpassing the earth s carrying capacity and as a result pollution. environmental issues, global warming, climate change and non-realization of sustainable development, which is one of the most important and fundamental challenges of the world today. Considering that sustainable development is a path of development in which the highest welfare of today s generation does not lead to a decrease in the welfare of the future generation, the discussion of sustainability in the field of energy as one of the needs of urban life is also relevant, and paying attention to energy sustainability in cities due to the high volume of energy consumption in them is necessary in order to reduce the consumption of natural resources and the destruction of the environment. Meanwhile, developing countries like Iran are facing the problem of instability. In such a way, the high consumption of fossil energies has placed Iran in the seventh place in the world in the index of greenhouse gas emission and has earned the 11th energy-efficient rank among the countries of the world. Tehran metropolis, as the center of congregation, service and industrial activities of the country, is responsible for the emission of about 10% of the country s greenhouse gases due to the consumption of fossil fuels in different parts of the city, which is due to population growth and inefficient use of resources and patterns. Improper development is facing environmental instability today and needs special attention to reduce the uncertainty caused by fossil fuel consumption and move towards the efficient use of renewable energy sources. Therefore, in this article, strategic planning based on energy sustainability for Tehran metropolis is presented.
