Abstract :
In this article, the ability to quickly detect, identify and monitor environmental pollution (poisonous gases) is necessary for the optimal use of industrial and environmental resources. This knowledge allows the severity and extent of a hazard to be assessed to identify clean or contaminated areas. An ideal detector can be described as one that can selectively detect any toxic industrial chemical (TIC) within an acceptable time frame. It is sensitive enough to detect concentrations of the agent at or below levels that pose a health risk and are unaffected by other environmental factors. The detector must have fast response and recovery time. This article provides information about gas chromatography (GC- ECD) in general.
