Abstract :
Fortunately, the use of electric vehicle technology has increased dramatically as environmental changes have emerged around the world. Based on these issues, this paper focuses on the drive used in more economical electric vehicles. In general electric vehicles, induction motors are used because they have excellent features such as high starting torque and high efficiency. The motor drive is driven by the high switching frequency PWM inverter supplied through the DC source, as the high switching frequency common mode voltage (CM) is generated at the stator input motor terminals. This creates a shaft voltage across the motor air gap and increases motor bearing current. This causes premature damage to engine reliability and longevity. To compensate for this problem, an advanced active filter is designed to suppress the common mode voltage. and also analyze the effect of electromagnetic interference (EMI) on the drive under test (DUT). The above system will be initially implemented in electrical software tools such as MATLAB/SIMULATION to verify the results, suitable for electric vehicle applications, especially for induction motor drives
