Abstract :
The hydroforming process has attracted the attention of many researchers due to its wide application in various industries, including military, automotive, oil and gas industries, etc. The study of quality improvement methods in production processes, especially the hydroforming process of pipes in the production of T-shaped tees, due to the importance of producing quality and cheap parts, is the focus of many scientists. One of the low-cost and fast methods in studying such processes is the use of finite element commercial software. In this research, an attempt has been made to simulate and study quality improvement methods in the hydroforming process, especially the role of the retainer, using Abaqus finite element commercial software. To find out what effect the surface roughness of the retainer in micrometric and micrometric dimensions can have on the thickness distribution and quality parameters of the product compared to hydroforming with a simple retainer.
