Abstract :
The construction industry, crucial to economic development, faces ongoing challenges including schedule delays, budget overruns, low productivity, and significant safety risks. By fusing cutting-edge technologies with human-centered principles, Industry 5.0 has the potential to revolutionize the sector and solve these problems. This study examines Construction 5.0, a forward-thinking framework based on Industry 4.0 principles that supports worker well-being, sustainability, and human-robot collaboration. Automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics can be used by the construction industry through Construction 5.0 to improve overall productivity, streamline operations, eliminate repetitive activities, and provide safer work environments. In addition to identifying challenges like significant investment requirements, workforce training, and the requirement for supporting infrastructure, this study looks at the benefits of implementing Construction 5.0, such as enhanced environmental sustainability, streamlined workflows, and effective resource allocation. The construction industry may increase its competitiveness, resilience, and flexibility in a changing market by adopting Industry 5.0 concepts. In the end, this study shows how Construction 5.0 supports global environmental and social goals, setting up the construction industry for a future in which technological advancements and human-centered strategies spur expansion. According to the report, overcoming present obstacles will open the door to a more resilient and forward-thinking industry that is prepared to satisfy environmental and technical needs.
