Abstract :
In this article, the details of determining the optimal machining conditions for PH stainless steel turning using the Grey-Fuzzy method are discussed. This method is an effective and fast optimization technique and takes advantage of the combined advantages of both fuzzy logic and gray system methods. Taguchi design is a laboratory method used to design and select the L27 orthogonal array to perform experiments. Cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth are considered as input variables. Surface roughness and power consumption are assumed as functional characteristics. Taguchi has been used based on gray system method and Grey-Fuzzy degree to evaluate the relationship between input variables and performance criteria. Fuzzy inference system has been used to convert multiple quality characteristics into a single performance index. According to the investigations, it has been proven that the proposed method for the optimization technique has improved multiple performance characteristics effectively.
