Abstract :
Today, with the increasing use of composite materials in industries such as aerospace and marine, the need for further investigation of these materials is more pronounced than ever. One of the fundamental challenges in the use of these materials is the structural analysis of composite components at their connections with other composite parts or aluminum components. The use of resin adhesives is one suitable method for establishing connections in composite/composite or composite/aluminum structures. In this research, the numerical analysis of the thickness effect of the aluminum sheet used in composite/aluminum adhesive joints and the influence of different orientation in composite/composite connections have been studied using Abaqus finite element software. The maximum force required to induce damage in the adhesive joint and the distribution of normal stress have been calculated. Additionally, to ensure the accuracy of the results obtained from the numerical model, these results have been compared with experimental data from other studies.
