Prediction of mental health and social support base on personal characteristic and attachment styles

Abstract :
Aim of this study was to predict mental health and social support based on personality traits and attachment styles of third grade s high school girl students at Gilan-e-gharb in 2015. This research is correlation study. 100 students had been chosen by clustering sampling method and data had been collected by NEO personality traits inventory, adult attachment style questionnaire (RAAS), mental health questionnaire (GHQ-28), social support questionnaire (SSA).Result of this study showed that there is positive and significant relationship between personality traits with social support. Also there is positive and significant relationship between attachment styles and personality traits. Enter Regression analysis by entering personal characteristic showed that extraversion and openness have prediction power for personality traits and social support in meaningfully; also secure attachment style and stress attachment style can predict mental health and social support meaningfully. Between extraversion and secure attachment style can predict mental health and social support.
