Abstract :
A new core shell composite of mordenite@MCM-41 with mesoporous shell and mordenite core were fabricated by overgrowing MCM-41 on zeolite. This micro/mesoporous composite has been considered as a promising material with lot of application in various fields. In this study to investigating photocatalytic activity of corresponding composite, ZnO flower like nanoparticle was initially prepared and subsequently Ag nanoparticles were anchored on to surface of the as-prepared ZnO with green method by using leaf extract. The ZnO-Ag heterostructure were introduced to core shell composite and photocatalyst activity toward this composite were evaluated by MB dye degradation under visible light irradiation that displayed excellent visible driven activity much higher than that of pure core shell or pristine ZnO-Ag. The morphology, size and physical adsorption of the products were investigated by XRD, TEM, SEM and BET.
