Abstract :
Buckling-restrained bracing frame is a lateral load resisting system that combines the ductility of moment frame with the hardness (rigidity) and cost-effectiveness of the braced frame. This research, using Perform 3D software, performs non-linear dynamic analysis of buckling-restrained bracing frames under near field earthquakes and far field earthquakes that have completely different behavior. The most important characteristics of this earthquakes, is the existence of pulse-like amplitude in the beginning of the record that has high energy content.
