Abstract :
By increasing in number of enhanced pushover analyses, it is useful to study these procedures for various lateral load resisting frame buildings. Also, many proposed pushover analyses were evaluated only for seismic displacement demands such as peak floor displacements and story drifts. While the assessment of other seismic demands such as member plastic rotations and member forces can illustrate the abilities and limitations of enhanced pushover analyses. Hence this paper is devoted to assess the bias and accuracy of conventional and enhanced pushover analyses when they are applied to vertically irregular buckling-restrained braced frames. The enhanced pushover analyses which were considered here were adaptive modal combination (AMC) procedure, modified modal pushover analysis (MMPA), single-run multi-mode pushover (SMP) analysis, story shear-based adaptive pushover (SSAP) analysis and upper-bound pushover analysis. The results of story drifts, member plastic rotations and member forces show that SMP procedure can be more effective for practical purposes.
