Abstract :
Water and soil pollution with heavy metals pose a threat to the environment and human health. Find an effective way to refine these metals from water is very important. In this study, the removal of nickel from aqueous solution using modified magnetite nanocomposites was studied. Magnetites nanoparticles synthesized and modified its properties were measured using FT-IR spectroscopy. The effect of various parameters, such as pH, type and concentration of acid, effect of the adsorbent amount and effect of ultrasonication time were optimized. As a result, it is hoped to use the method for extraction and preconcentration of metal ions in real samples used effectively. The proposed method permitted a large enrichment factor (about 200). The relative standard deviation of the method was ±1.94 % (for ten replicate determinations of 2.0 μg mL-1 of Ni (II) and the limit of detection was 1.0 μg mL-1. The results showed that Co3O4@Clay@AAAPTS adsorbent could be employed as an effective material for preconcentration and their determination of Ni from aqueous solutions.
