Abstract :
The resistance of tall buildings to wind and earthquakes is the main determinant in the formulation of new structural systems that evolve by the continuous efforts of structural engineers to increase building height while keeping the deflection within acceptable limits and minimizing the amount of materials Structural Engineers are always striving to overcome challenge of controlling lateral deflection and story drifts as well as self-weight of structure imposed on foundation, this paper investigates the configuration of braces in braced tube systems to solve the above two issues in High-rise constructions. Braced tubes, which carry lateral loads by axial actions of the perimeter columns and bracings, are very efficient structural systems for tall buildings.. In this paper behavior of 04 story buildings in 0 various case studies were designed and analyzed by structural engineering software ETABS. The analysis include lateral displacement, story drift for static and dynamic loading.
