Abstract :
There have been relative changes in sea level during centuries, causing many effects on coastal lines. In this research, a comprehensive study has been done on sea level changes from coastal stations of the Oman Sea. Mean sea level has been found using tide gauge measurement. And barometric pressure, wind speed effect and air temperature effect on sea level have been investigated using meteorological data. And finally several models with three variants of pressure, temperature and wind speed have been offered. The studies show that in Chabahar the rise of the sea level has been calculated to 0.018cm per month using tide gauges. Barometric effect on sea level is greater than the air temperature and the wind speed effect. Sea level is reducing at Jask, then we have to include more independent parameters in sea level variations. Tide gauge data shows a monthly reduction of 0.001 cm. The effects of the independent variable and their correlations have been studied, using step by step regression method. The best model was selected for sea level variations from three independent variables (pressure, temperature, wind speed)
