Abstract :
Abstract Sustainable knowledge governance in schools is a critical framework for addressing the challenges of modern education systems in the context of rapid digital transformation and the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study explores the interplay between digital transformation, stakeholder convergence, and leadership aligned with SDGs to foster futures-oriented education. By integrating insights from recent literature and empirical evidence, the research highlights the importance of collaborative governance models that engage diverse stakeholders, including educators, students, parents, and policymakers, in shaping sustainable educational practices. Digital transformation is identified as a key driver, enabling schools to leverage technology for innovative teaching methods, data-driven decision-making, and enhanced stakeholder communication. However, its success depends on the alignment of leadership strategies with SDGs, ensuring that technological advancements contribute to equitable and inclusive education. Stakeholder convergence emerges as a vital component, fostering shared responsibility and collective action toward sustainable educational outcomes. Drawing on case studies from both Iranian and international contexts, this study underscores the role of futures-oriented education in preparing students for an uncertain and rapidly changing world. It emphasizes the need for curricula that integrate sustainability principles, critical thinking, and digital literacy. The findings suggest that effective knowledge governance in schools requires a holistic approach, combining technological innovation, participatory decision-making, and visionary leadership. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on sustainable education by providing a comprehensive framework for integrating digital transformation, stakeholder engagement, and SDG-aligned leadership. It offers practical recommendations for policymakers and school administrators to create resilient and future-ready educational systems.
