Abstract :
Phenomenology, meaning the study of consciousness, is a school of thought founded by Edmund Husserl. This school seeks to study human consciousness by distinguishing between mediated and unmediated awareness, focusing on mental phenomena that appear directly in the mind and may not even have existence. In the post-Husserl period, phenomenology primarily focuses on understanding and perceiving existence, whereas in the period before Husserl, phenomenology encounters a kind of conceptual multiplicity. Phenomenology is neither a philosophical school among contemporary philosophies nor a contemporary philosophical tendency; rather, it is, in fact, a movement that holds different meanings for different people for various reasons. On the other hand, phenomenology is a philosophy that advocates the primacy of experience in the phenomenological sense, in which being-in-the-world is one of its key principles. It is a new philosophy that aims to understand objects themselves and to access immediate data.In fact, phenomenologists do not seek to provide a definitive and complete definition of the subject because they see the nature of the subject as constantly changing and transforming. Phenomenologists, in order to reach the truth of the subject, examine it from various perspectives and describe it using different expressions. In other words, phenomenology is learning to see differently ; it involves learning to set aside the prejudices of science and common sense, allowing oneself to observe phenomena keenly and thoughtfully from different perspectives. The aim of phenomenology in architecture is to create a transparent relationship between architecture and everyday life in the lifeworld, which is realized through functional exchanges. The first step is to return to the fundamental structures of the lifeworld, which is related to the concept of spatiality (Raumlichkeit) in Heidegger. The research method of this article is based on documentary sources and, with a qualitative approach, processes, analyzes, and interprets the issues.
