Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze new teaching methods in the field of law and to explore the place of these methods in the Iranian higher education system. In today s complex world, where the need for skilled lawyers, knowledgeable judges, and creative jurists is felt more than ever, relying solely on traditional lecture-based methods does not meet the needs of society and the labor market. This article, using a descriptive-analytical approach and relying on library studies and a review of upstream documents, explains methods such as problem-based learning (PBL), moot court simulation, case study method, collaborative learning, and the use of digital technologies. The findings show that although positive steps have been taken in some Iranian law schools to apply these methods, serious structural obstacles such as the centrality of the traditional professor-centered method, lack of resources and facilities, a large volume of theoretical courses, resistance to change, and the lack of integrated planning have hindered the institutionalization and comprehensive development of these methods. This article concludes that the transformation of Iranian legal education requires a review of the course syllabus, empowerment of professors, equipping skill workshops, and developing a comprehensive educational strategy in which modern methods are placed not as a sideline, but as the core of the learning-teaching process.
