Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the economic, socio-cultural factors on student dropout. Today, students are considered one of the important segments of society due to their important role in the future of the country. Therefore, a significant portion of children drop out of school every year. People with higher economic, socio-cultural backgrounds have better access to schools, and it is the school that selects students and gives them direction. Economic factors such as low income, inadequate housing, lack of guardianship and presence of parents in the family, large number of children, and low occupational class of parents affect student dropout. Socio-cultural factors such as poor socio-cultural status, low cultural level of the family, disregard for education level, forced marriage at an early age, family disputes, and level of parental literacy affect student dropout.
