Abstract :
In studying the relationship between man and the environment, the recognition of physical elements is important. A better understanding of the time environment becomes more valuable, in addition to examining the elements and physical characteristics of the environment, the meanings and concepts derived from it, and the perception of humans, will be taken forward. Meanwhile, learning spaces are a place for learning. Learning is the core of personal and social life. Learning environments consist of elements that together make sense. The characteristics and qualities of each of these elements are effective in the formation of behaviors. The importance of discussing the identity of the place comes from the fact that man is intimidated by his lack of perception and his relationship with the periphery of the world. In other words, sense of place is an agent that communicates between man and place and creates unity. Meanwhile, school as one of the educational spaces plays an essential role in the various structures of each community. Therefore, this research seeks to study the effects of green spaces on the performance of educational spaces in terms of learning the students on the one hand and increasing their sense of place towards their school with an emphasis on the surrounding environment. The research is applied and its methodology is descriptive-analytic. Data collection is done in the form of library and field surveys, as well as in the distribution of questionnaires. The findings indicate that the average effect of green space on students performance and learning as one of the factors influencing green space on school students was the highest, indicating the significant effects of green space on the learning and education of students in this school. Also, the results of the test between two variables, the sense of place and the presence of green space, indicate that the level of significance is at the level of 0.01, which can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between the sense of place of students to school and the presence of green space.
