Abstract :
Higher education institutions are increasingly recognized as the main driver of sustainable community development. Using a set of unique skills, they act as transformational agents by shaping the minds and values of future leaders in academia, business, and politics. The role of training centers in achieving sustainable development (SD) was first highlighted in the Stockholm Declaration of 1972 on the Human Environment. Since then, high-level government agencies and their stakeholders have been involved in several global initiatives and have expressed their commitment to sustainable development in a variety of national and international declarations and charters. Recent examples include the UN Higher Education Sustainability Initiative and the UN Higher Education and Higher Education Research and Development Platform (HESD). Both Sustainable Development Programs (SDG) initiatives, as part of globally agreed global policy programs, reinforce higher education. In this regard, training centers have begun to regularly evaluate and report on their progress on sustainable development commitments. And sustainable development is a process that is in itself a reshuffle and different orientation of the entire economic, social system. In addition to improving productivity and income, development involves fundamental changes in socio-administrative institutional structures as well as public attitudes and views.
