Abstract :
This article examines the relationship between tourism and tangible heritage. Tangible heritage includes historical buildings and museum objects that play an important role in attracting tourists. The purpose of this article is to investigate the impact of tourism on the preservation of this type of heritage. Based on research, tourists travel to areas containing historical buildings and museum objects for various reasons. Cultural tourism and specifically heritage tourism is one of the main and very comprehensive types of tourism on a global scale and also within many countries, which has a large capacity for social and cultural development. At the same time, cultural tourism has the capacity to present a fake and inauthentic image of cultural identity under the influence of market demand and economic aspects of tourism and even cause de-identification of the host society. In addition to enjoying the beauty and history of these areas, they seek an active experience in education, cultural activities, and creativity. However, despite the great interest of tourists in areas containing tangible heritage, the preservation and maintenance of these resources faces challenges. A large number of tourists and excessive use of resources may lead to the deterioration and erosion of this type of heritage. Also, not paying attention to how to properly manage and preserve these resources can lead to a decrease in their attractiveness for tourists. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt appropriate strategies to preserve tangible heritage against the effects of tourism. For example, regulating the number of tourists and controlling access to sensitive areas, educating and informing tourists about appropriate behavior in these areas, as well as the use of new technologies in the preservation and maintenance of tangible heritage are useful solutions.
