Abstract :
Bonyad Museum Architectural Treasure is constructed in a space with an area of 1500 m that in one-third of this space, doors and windows of different dynasties from Safavid Empire, Zand Empire and Qajar Empire are kept. The doors are tools that besides their application, they may be used for decorative purposes. During Zand dynasty and at the beginning of Qajar, the doors had been mainly made of wood, and they were the best place for performing art. Bonyad Museum Architectural Treasure has very nice doors of these dynasties. The doors which are made with a lacquer and cribriform method and decorated with geometric, plant and human figures.
Due to failure in attending and studying the doors of Bonyad Museum Architectural Treasure, we tried to study the geometric figures of Qajar dynasty doors in this complex to be maybe a way that other doors of this treasure will be assessed and studied by the scholars and researchers.
This study aims at studying the images based on their figure, quality of doors, identification number, production method, size of works, features of the figure and preparing a diagram of the images. The study method is descriptive-analytical and the research was analyzed and deducted based on field and library study, and collecting samples. According to the findings of the research, there is an interface in the figures and designs of the doors and other Qajar arts. The figures used are according to the geometric rules and Islamic Worldview in the previous eras which have continued to this era. The doors have applied aspect and the manner of making the doors is based on a regular pattern and putting colored and sometimes designed glasses in vacant spaces of the doors.
