Abstract :
Dynamic earth pressure has been an active investigation for decades, which reinsures the importance of retaining structures and the complex of dynamic response. Further studies in this field will lead into more secured and more economic seismic design of these structures. Shake table tests has been carried out in investigations. In this study, ten shake table testing events (which was carried out by other authors) modelled by finite element analyses. Results of this study illustrates the behavior of retaining wall during the ten shake table testing events. Dynamic earth pressure acting on retaining wall during ten events with normalized height is illustrated in a graph and comparison between ten shakes with different PGA in the wide range of 0.13-1.20g is done. The yield acceleration was determined by performing slope stability program Slide 5.0. To consider the input accelerations, it varied in a wide range.
