Abstract :
Sensitivity analysis can be used to identify important model parameters, in particular, normalized sensitivity coefficients; by allowing a one-on-one comparison. In this paper, important parameters of two optimal conditions of the Dual Mixed Refrigerant (DMR) cycles were identified by sensitivity analysis. For these conditions, the normalized sensitivity coefficient values indicated that power consumption of the cycle is more sensitive to the temperatures before compressors, discharge pressures of compressors and components of precooling refrigerant in comparison with the temperature between the precooling cycle s heat exchangers, suction pressure of compressors and high boiling components of main refrigerant, respectively. It was also seen that the Hwang s DMR cycle is less sensitive cycle than Venkatarathnam s as 9.5%. It might be due to not considering the liquid entering to compressor condition in the latter conditions.
