Abstract :
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer and the third leading cause of cancer death in men and women Lavender extract has shown therapeutic impacts on various cancers. Therefore, we assessed the biological impacts of the alcoholic extract of Lavender on LS180 cell line. In the current study, the LS180 cell line was selected for treatment with lavender extract. Cell proliferation and cell viability were investigated in the presence of various concentrations of the Lavender by MTT-method. Also, colorectal cancer signaling pathway enrichment analysis performed on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) database. Cell proliferation and cell viability studies represented anticancer characteristics of dose-dependent of Lavender extract. It can be concluded that the alcoholic extract of Lavender can be suggested as a novel anticancer extraction to inhibit the growth of colorectal cancer cells.
