Abstract :
The city has been formed by the environment, human behavior in environmental, architectural spaces and social and political formations. By investigating the historical evidences to a large extent, these cases can be identified in the architecture of periods. So architecture is the language of the identity of every ethnic group. With the advent of modern architecture in the early twentieth century, due to the new emerging facilities of that period, the identity language of the twentieth century human changed. The city took another definition, and the structure of the city was transformed from a self-restoring to a machine and structure and infrastructure. Social events in the context of urban space became different from its prior literature. One of these events was the increasing growth of social crimes, which was mixed with machine life and took a new nature. This study sought to share this issue with the current proposed approach of the world in the urban security domain (CPTED) by investigating modern architecture, extracting its indicators, and generalizing it into urban security topic. Although it seems that the CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) have been extracted from the concepts of modern architecture, this issue has not been considered yet. The research method in this research was descriptive-analytical and the research result has been obtained through library studies and web searches. The results showed that the original concepts of modern architecture introduced at the beginning of the twentieth century were closely related to the structure of the CPTED concepts, stated almost half a century ago, and can be used to reduce crimes in the context of environmental design.
