The Study of effect of the thickness of layer in Solar Cells efficiency by Numerical Simulation

Abstract :
Numerical simulation has become a powerful tool for optimization of crystal growth process with development of computer technology and computation techniques. The numerical simulation is an efficient approach to select the optimum value for the best performance. In this paper, we studied two cases of homo-junction si-solar cell. In first case we used bare silicon solar cell under the sun illumination and in the other case we added the Hole- transport – Electron Blocking (HT-EB) layer in front of the past cell then studied the efficiency of cells. In the first case, we saw that with decreased of the p-layer thickness and Increased the n-layer thickness of solar cell, Short circuit current (Jsc) and efficiency ( ) increased. With compare of the results we found that efficiency of second case was greater than the first case. This result gained for adding layer decreases the reflection of light incident of the cell.
