Application of Actor-Network Theory (ANT) in spatial distribution of construction materials’ providers

Abstract :
Sustainability has always been an important issue in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. Carbon emission, one of the major concerns of sustainability, can be reduced by the optimization of low-carbon retrofitting providers’ distribution in a zone. This goal can be achieved by applying novel methods like Actor-Network Theory (ANT), which is well known among sociologists. This paper tries to introduce the terms of low-carbon retrofitting, Actor-Network Theory (ANT), and spatial distribution. Furthermore, it mentions research gaps in these fields. Finally, it will introduce some research objectives and methods to experts in order to use for their further studies.
