Abstract :
Exposure to psychosocial risks in the workplace is one of the biggest challenges for occupational safety and health that affects employee performance and productivity. This study aimed to investigate the effect of psychosocial risk factors on organizational conflict among firefighters in Yazd. The research method was an applied and descriptive research conducted with a structural equation modeling approach. The statistical population of the study was firefighters in Yazd, 108 of whom were selected as a sample and responded to the questionnaire. The Copenhagen Psychosocial Risk Factors Questionnaire (2019) and the Robbins Organizational Conflict Questionnaire (1994) were used. SPSS and Smart PLS software were used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that psychosocial risk factors had an effect on job conflict with a path coefficient of 0.964 at the 95 percent level. In this regard, monitoring should focus more on managing and reducing psychosocial risk factors (by paying attention to employees emotional needs, reducing harassment and violence, reducing stressors, increasing organizational justice, etc.) in the firefighters workplace, in order to reduce the level of organizational conflicts.
