Abstract :
The use of social networks as one of the modern communication tools significantly affects the psychology of users. In a world where people seek approval and popularity online, constantly comparing yourself to others can lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-confidence. These negative emotions, in turn, accelerate the onset of anxiety and depression. Users may experience mental stress due to negative comments or insufficient interaction, which can lead to a vicious cycle and affect their mental health. On the other hand, while social networks can serve as a tool for communication and social support, their inappropriate use can have negative consequences. Negative content, rumors and false news in cyberspace can increase the feeling of insecurity and loneliness in people. In this way, a balance between positive and negative use of these platforms is necessary to avoid psychological problems. Understanding these complex connections can help us take steps towards improving our own and others mental health.
