Design and fabrication of carbamazepine electrochemical sensor using carbon paste electrode modified with nanocomposite graphene oxide - cadmium oxide nanoparticles

Abstract :
in this study, a new electrochemical sensor for measuring carbamazepine was introduced. In this study, a modified carbon paste electrode was fabricated usingnanocomposite graphene oxide / cadmium oxide nanoparticles , graphite powder and paraffin oil. nanocomposite graphene oxide / cadmium oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by direct precipitation method and identified by X-ray diffraction method. Then, the electrochemical behavior of the modified electrode for electrochemical oxidation of carbamazepine was investigated by voltammetric methods. Under optimal conditions, the differential pulsed pulse voltammetry currents increased linearly with CBZ concentrations in the range of 0.53 to 53 μM and the detection limit was 0.1 μM. Modified carbon paste electrode with nanocomposite graphene oxide / cadmium oxide nanoparticles can be used as an excellent sensor with reproducibility, good recovery and very low detection limit for measuring carbamazepine. The introduced method was used to measure carbamazepine in real samples such as human plasma and urine.
