Technical, economic and environmental evaluation of hydropower plant for energy production for villages (Case study: Koohrang city, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province)

Abstract :
The preservation of the environment and the end of fossil fuels have prompted all countries to replace renewable energy sources. Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, despite having water resources, is a province prone to using hydropower plants. The use of these power plants in this province, while having advantages such as: low investment costs, short operating time and reduction of greenhouse gases, helps to improve the capacity and reliability of the distribution network.In this paper, technical, economic and environmental evaluation of a small hydropower plant in Koohrang city is done using RETSCREEN and HOMER software. E during the project is 25800tco2. Also, the amount of NPC of the project is 15.5 billion Rials and this amount is 14.5, 15.5 and 16.6 billion Rials with inflation rates of 17, 22 and 27%, respectively.
